for sure he want to be in the top post as long as he can. till his last breath perhaps. but in politic, anything can be happened. he knew that authoritarian like mahadare-style would not be accepted by public today and yet he knew he cant be soft like p-lah. from outside his party, there is demanding for changing from status quo to better msia.

his own deputy seems believe to bring back the party strong like before is through authoritarian but he knew this will backfire later. there his own slogan / propaganda. 1msia. equal to all citizen. at the same time, he is pushed by so-called heroic movement claimed they defend their interest as natives.

he tried to play racial card to consolidate his race/brace/ase supporters but he knew he cant keep his power only if only supported by his race/base supporters. he needs other races too. that is why 1msia come forward. by outsourcing racial card to heroic movement, he can play a moderate image. he must be careful because if heroic movement is out of control, this will tko him.

he knew he must adapt transparency in his administration. but half baked transparency only will expose more uglyside of his administration.

he knew he has tp learn from half-baked implementations/policies in previous administration. he knew he needs to deliver but until now he yet to deliver. the cabinet is still the same persons in previous administration. it would take long time to change his cabinet members to change as their need to deliver. he knew he at the same time he need to feed his own pocket as well as his supporters pocket. feeding is a way to keep the support and loyalty.
