Tan Yi Min is now Eilliyah Foong Abdullah. This child is Tan Cheow Hong's daughter. She was born into the Tan family. Her grandfather belonged to the 'Tan' clan, as did her great grandfather and her great, great grandfather. Her mother Fatimah Foong Abdullah has with cold calculation misused Islam to deprive 'Eilliyah Foong Abdullah' of her birthright - the 'Tan' surname.

The Malaysiakini report said Fatimah converted Yi Min on Nov 9 at the Selangor Islamic Affairs Department. She snatched her from school on Nov 8. This time-line indicates that Fatimah converted Yi Min the very next day.

Remember that the child has lived with her father (left, in photo) these past three years. She has never been taught Islam and knows next to nothing about the religion. Fatimah Foong holds no 'sijil perkahwinan' (Muslim marriage certificate). Yi Min was not conceived in Muslim wedlock. Yi Min's father was not present to give his consent. This makes the conversion of his daughter, a minor, against civil law.

That Fatimah's mockery of justice was entertained by ketuanan Islam is beyond a dereliction of duty; it is criminal mala fide.

whether we realise or not, we have been seeded with propaganda by the gov as early as we enter the school. like in Sarawak, we asked to sing state anthem which includes phase ''Sarawak dalam malaysia' which means Sarawak is a state of malaysia. this a lie because Sarawak together with Sabah, Singapore and malaya formed mlysia. thus, we are an equal partner of malaya. not a state. Sabah and Sarawak are supposedly above malaya states.

through education ministry using history subject in secondary school, students are taught history of official religion of msia (official religion except Sarawak) and their golden age for half a year while the other religions only taught in 2 pages in history textbook. students in higher institutions are compulsory to learn and pass the official religion civilization. for other religions faith believers, attending the class if like seeing yourself been stabbed. the class is full with hatred by the lecturers by making fun of other races & religions. this daylight brainwashing only would create polarization among students. undeniable students different races didnt mix with each other.

since dayaks came from rural areas, the gov use the village heads and most of them are uneducated (older generation). these village heads are easily manipulate by the gov by creating in their mind 'we should not against the gov'. but then who is the gov? who elect the gov? people! who ever chose by the people is the gov, why the present gov is afraid losing their power? position leads to money, money is symbol of wealth and status. simply as that. during elections, the gov through village heads would distribute cheap goodies like kain, a few of atap zinc, a few ringgits and not forgetting lot of other promises which are took several elections to be fulfilled. this propaganda is called 'politik pemansang' @ development politic. yet this propaganda works for every elections! if the gov gave rm 100 during the election, this means his life for 5years ( 1 parliment session) is rm 20/year. their life and time can be bought easily and it only worth rm 100

the fact also the gov tried to lure other religions especially the natives to convrt. this especially happened as they asked the natives to convrt if they want to be helped. this is discrimination as the natives/citizens deserve the development regardless their religion. why only will help if they adherent the same religion with you? is it because for you we are lower class/servants/slaves? i believe none other religions would try to influence adherent of official religion to apostate them. we knew we are minority but do not suppress us. respect each others. respect is vice versa and this lead to harmony.

The Great Mosque of Cordoba was built after the Moorish invasion of Spain in the 8th century. Cordoba is known as the City of Three Cultures because Muslims, Jews and Christians lived there in harmony during medieval times.

The mosque was transformed into a cathedral in 1236 when King Ferdinand III captured the city from the Moors. Since then, except for rare exceptions, Muslim prayer rites have been forbidden inside.

The building still retains exquisite red and white arches and gleaming marble columns from the original mosque. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1984, and is one of Spain's most popular tourist sites.

Ortiz said a group of 120 Muslim tourists from Austria entered the mosque Wednesday evening and a handful of them — six or seven, she said — started to pray. Security guards told them to stop, but the small group insisted and argued with the guards, so National Police were summoned.

Two of the people praying insisted even then, and got into a shoving match with officers, after which they were arrested for disobeying and threatening law enforcement officers, Ortiz said.

She declined to name them saying only they were men aged 23 and 19. The detainees were to appear before a judge in Cordoba on Friday. Ortiz said had never heard of an incident like this before.

The bishop's office in Cordoba said the larger group had acted in a coordinated and aggressive fashion, but Ortiz downplayed that idea.

Mansur Escudero, a Spanish Muslim leader, said he has been pressing the Catholic church for years to let Muslims pray in the mosque, but to no end.

Over the past few decades exceptions were made, at the request of King Juan Carlos, and members of the Saudi royal family were allowed to pray in the mosque, Escudero, who is president of the Islamic Commission of Spain, told the newspaper El Mundo.

Spain has a Muslim community of about 1 million, out of a total population of 45 million.

The building's official title is the "Mezquita Catedral de Cordoba" — the mosque cathedral. Escudero said the name should be changed to ex-mosque cathedral.

"Or just cathedral. If it is not a mosque, they should not call it a mosque," he was quoted as saying.

I concur with Iban Abroad’s opinion. We Dayaks (Ibans especially), must not only confine our political struggle within the shores of Sarawak only. We must broaden our horizon. We should accept that we are Malaysians and not only Sarawakians. This is for the sake of our future generation. It’s time now for us to play national politics, and shake ourselves free from the shackle of partisan politics if we want to progress as a people and be counted. We need to be political players on a national stage from now on. We have seen how little can our local based political parties do for us. Most of the leaders are only interested to amass wealth for themselves and their families. Therefore, we must now seize on this God given oppotunity to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Malays, Chinese, Indians, Kadadazdusuns and others who share our dreams and aspirations.

Go Dayaks Go! For now the best choice is with PKR!

1. PKR is Parti Keadilan Rakyat. We all know that PKR is one part of PR=Pakatan Rakyat.

2. In PR, they are DAP(maj. the Chinese), PAS(maj. the Malays) and PKR (i can say, mixture of races). still in mature party. members still have umno/bn minded...loo for position,projects

3. Now, we, the dayaks/ibans in Sarawak want to join PKR because at this moment we don’t have any better platform than the PKR to voice out our struggles and frustration towards the BN. is this the reason we depend on them?

4. Remember that in Sarawak, we have DAP. DAP won few DUN during 2006 state election. Majority Chinese area. another malaya party

5. To win the Majority Malays area, we need to use PAS. Are we dayaks/ibans ok with PAS if they come here to stand against BN in the Malays area? big no to pas...somehow, somewill when they infederal gov, if not become islamist country, the islamisation makin kuat

Baby boy starves to death; drunk parents forgot to feed him

MIRI: A baby boy, less then a month old, starved to death Thursday after his parents allegedly forgot to feed him because they were too drunk.

The baby died in the intensive care unit of Miri Hospital Thursday morning and a police report was lodged.

Police now want to question the parents, in their early 30s, from a longhouse in southern Sarawak who came to Miri to work and were now renting a house at a low-cost housing scheme along the Sarawak-Brunei highway some 12kms north of the city centre.

Concerned relatives had found the baby unconscious in the house and had rushed him to the hospital at about 3am on Wednesday.

Miri Deputy Police Chief Supt Ismail Paduka Idris confirmed Thursday that the baby had died in the morning.

"We (police) are investigating claims that the parents had indulged in a prolonged drinking spree and had neglected the baby in the process.

"Initial probe showed that the baby might have been so severely neglected that he suffered fatal consequences. We want to find out whether this was due to carelessness or criminal neglect.

"We will be taking statements from the parents and from neighbours and relatives to find out what actually happened," he said, adding that police have yet to detain the parents.

Asked if there were any signs of physical abuse on the baby, he said police are still investigating all aspects.

The couple have another child, a three-year daughter.

in my personal opinion, the Sarawakians should redefine races in Sarawak to Dayak and Non-Dayak.

Dayak :

1. Dayak Non-Muslim (majority of Ibans, Bidayuhs, Orang Ulus and all non-Muslim native tribes)
2. Dayak Muslim (majority of Sarawak Malays, Melanaus, Kedayans and all Muslim native tribes)
3. Eurasian (father is Dayak)

Non-Dayak:
1.Chinese
2.Eurasian (mother is Non-Dayak)

Sarawak Malays language is different from malaya and has more similarity to Ibans where i suspect Sarawak Malays is Ibans who has converted to Islam long time ago. while the other tribes has 'man' for eating among them.

for the small indians community in Sarawak, they will be put under Non-Dayak if their forefathers came to Sarawak before 16/9/1963

Well, I'm a black woman with several graduate degrees but no executive experience, does that make me qualified to be POTUS? I'd say I'm more qualified than Obama because I love America and her Constitution. Even though he taught law, he doesn't understand or appreciate America and the Constitution. He sees it all as something to be got rid of or be changed so he can bring us to some type of Nazi (national socialist) enlightenment. Given his thug tactics against those who disagree with him, we know that his enlightenment will wind up with our loss of constitutional rights.

It's incredible that the same people who are deriding Gov. Palin are looking up to Obama as "The One." The one what? The one who will lead the U.S. into the bondage of communism? The one who will place the opinions of other peoples of other countries ahead of the American Constitution? The one who will trample on the Constitution as long as no one says anything he doesn't like? The one who will take our money and give it to his radical terrorist pals like ACORN, Hamas, Hezbullah and the like?

KUCHING: While controversy rages over the Terengganu government's choice of official cars, in Sarawak it is a non-issue as the official cars for ministers and assistant ministers had always been either the Mercedes Benz or BMW.

The Proton Perdana are used only by the heads of department but the model has since lost favour even among this group due to claims of high maintenance cost and reliability issues.

"The state has not bought a Perdana for a number of years now," said a senior government official who declined to be named.

He said like ministers and assistant ministers, the heads of department had a choice on the model of car they preferred as long as it was within their entitlement.

Most heads of department are now using the Toyota Camry. Some have opted for the Honda Accord.
Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud's official car is the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow.

His two deputies, Tan Sri Dr George Chan and Tan Sri Alfred Jabu, use the BMW 7 series as their official cars.

Some ministers, like Housing Minister Datuk Seri Abang Johari Tun Openg and Second Minister of Planning and Resource Management Datuk Seri Awang Tengah Ali Hassan, have Jaguar XJ as their official cars.

Most, however, opt for the Mercedes Benz.

There are also others who prefer to use their own cars.

Land Development Minister Datuk Seri Dr James Masing, Public Health and Local Government Minister Datuk Michael Manyin and Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister's Office Larry Sng are some members of the state cabinet who have opted not to take up their entitlement. Instead, they use their own cars for official functions.

The government official said since most of the ministers' cars were still new, there was no allocation in the budget for them to change their cars.

"We only buy a new car when there is a serious need for it. And we do not buy in bulk. We only buy a few cars a year."

we must admit that tun dr mahathir is a great leader. he has transformed malaysia to a develop country

i used to have a nanny to look after me siblings and me and she was school in chinese school. i asked her why her parents enrolled her in chinese school and can you guess what was her answer?
'to get hire in chinese shop'!
in this contact,'chinese shop' refer to kedai2 runcit and makan own by chinese
so when customers order menu, easylah for her to understand
it's undeniable mandarin nowadays is an advantage in businesee world as china and other far east country has merged as new market in business but if you just fluent in mandarin but lack of other skills, wouldn't it be a waste?

during my secondary school days, in form 4 to be specific
my maths teacher was a chinese from my hometown and he was to0 racist (in fact i have another racist teacher in that year)
from 26 students including me in that class, 17 were chinese
nearly 75% of his time he spoke in mandarin and this made us the rest lost and when we asked him to use bahasa, he just ignored us

another racist teacher was my biology teacher
she is from penang. im not sure whether she is a mualaf as her name is norblahblahblah inthira abbas govindasami (dengan sengaja mispelled)
but for sure she is not a malay
i have 2 malay classmates
this teacher every time in her class would ask these 2 girls question until they get fed up
one of them even dengan sengaja will escape 1 day every week as that teacher was very annoying to them
they even told us, why we must have such 2 racist teachers
this is sarawak
not to mention she even warned us to use halal food as our subject for folio project or she would not touch our folio
she didnt have to tell us as we know in malaysia, nonhalal would be big no
we looked like not exist in her class

glad both of them didnt teach us in form 5 as our class result in form 4 in both subject below expectation

while in peninsular, there was a time when my senior gave my name to go to a function but my i was told in last minute i forbid to go as i am not a muslim. they want malays and muslim bumis only
i actually dont really mind as that function was not my interest but i felt discriminate for the reason given

years ago, i went for an interview and one of the interview was to go to client's place. the company asked me to join their 3 employees to client's place. in that journey, they keep on talking in chinese (dont know which dialect) and in middle of journey, they told me im not suitable with the job as i didnt talk too much with them

Letter to a comrade...

This letter is written to my fellow blogger 'Free Sarawak'. My comments were perhaps harsh but compared to your ideas of cessation from Malaysia, I think it is nothing NOT POSSIBLE IF THE STATES FEEL THEY ARE STILL NEGLECTED . My comments elsewhere are not to seek more readers to my blog; or to seek cheap publicity because I'm not planning to run for political office. It is meant to speak my beliefs and perhaps, my penchant for lopsided political debate.

Dear Free Sarawak,

I write to you in good faith. I'm not a politician; just an average man on the street that happen to vote for the first time in the last elections. I'm went to vote with a clear conscience that day, even when many of my friends and family members decided to vote with their hearts instead of their minds. IT WAS MY SECOND GE (1ST IN 2006). I VOTED FOR CANDIDATE THAT I THOUGHT DESERVED MY VOTE AFTER ANALYZED ALL ASPECTS

I am not a bumiputra; a member of a minority race here in the Peninsula. I'm proud to call myself a Malaysian. Even when so many of my own kind claim to be third or even fifth class Malaysians; I never once have I symphatised for them. Perhaps I'm overtly nationalistic, a blind patriot. I had the privilege to study in national schools (including in a school right smack in Kg. Kerinchi with almost 100% Malay students); pass my exams well enough to be offered a place in a local university (which I opted out to my own inability to cope with uni life); offered a PTPTN loan to read law in KL (which I'm already paying back now..) I AM A BUMIPUTERA AS YOU CAN GUESS AND WAS STUDY IN NATIONAL SCHOOL. HAVE OTHER CHOICE BETWEEN NATIONAL AND CHINESE SCHOOL? MY PARENTS CHOOSE NATIONAL

But what I worry for is the trend after the GE 2008. Everybody is making demands; whether legitimate or not is not the issue, but the way it is made? I believe it is your right of suffrage to vote whomever you wish would be able to seek fairness and equity for your people and state. And if I'm not mistaken the people of Sabah & Sarawak did vote for the Front. Now, if the people had grouses they should have brought it up at the ballot boxes? I'm sure that the Front would have collapsed and you would have a new government in place. So, why vote BN? WHY VOTE FOR BN? SITUATION IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM PENINSULAR MALAYSIA. NOT ONLY POLITICAL CLIMATE. PEOPLE ARE STILL UNEDUCATED. 'WE MUST VOTE FOR KERAJAAN a.k.a BN' & ' BN FOR DEVELOPMENT'

EDUCATION : 'We have been independent for more than 40 years but our children still walk for miles and in the mud to get to school ' DATUK ANIFAH AMAN

But now it seems, that because of the greater bargaining power, there are attempts to lobby for greater things. Good, but why are the leaders only now saying all this? Why not before? Especially, when this statements are made by politicians and leaders who not only are in power; but also have access to resources and are involved in the decision making process. Don't push the buck to others all the time; sometimes it is within your control. I myself am still wondering what my race has achieved after abandoning the Front? How much as the Opposition kept its promise to help the community? Were we just pawns during the elections? Everybody knows Makkal Sakti by heart, but do they really care?

Is the March 8 “political tsunami” in Peninsular Malaysia reaching Sabah?

Two outstanding examples:

The fire rages on in Sabah to end over four decades of discrimination, marginalization and even victimisation of Sabahans in Malaysia.

Sabah was sold to UMNO in 1991 by Tun Mustapha Harun and there was the darkest time for the Sabahan. Labuan then was given to federal government with no compensation to the state government. That was a very beautiful game played by Tun Mustapha together with Harris Salleh. What was happened?

“UMNO had a quick rise to power since its entry into Sabah in 1991 where before that both eastern Malaysian states were not penetrated by the party, whose president is the de facto leader of the ruling coalition BN and automatically the Prime Minister of Malaysia. This has given rise to dissent as the Chief Minister rotation system was halted just as UMNO was holding the post. Thus the 2004 general elections saw widespread disillusionment, coupled with an ineffectual opposition. The state assembly is now dominated by the ruling party BN with only one seat held by an opposition politician who is an independent candidate. This was caused by a general sentiment where a number of voters were reluctant to cast votes for BN whose victory was almost assured but did not trust the opposition parties, most of which were not vigorously active before the election. A lawyer by profession, Syed Kechik eventually became the most powerful man in Sabah, as powerful as the Chief Minister if not more. He was also the most hated.He was practically running the state on behalf of Mustapha, who spent most of his time in the play grounds of Europe and the Middle East.Mustapha spent most of his time in casinos in Beirut and London.

Mustapha not only collected private planes but also collected overseas properties, wives and mistresses at the expense of state resources. He was also responsible for opening the back door and allowed illegal immigrants to come in from southern Philippines to increase the Muslim population in the state and was notoriously responsible for mass conversion to Islam of some indigenous tribes in the state.” – Hantu Laut Blog

Sabahans were living beside the toilet of the UMNO and it is a great long time for them to live and enslaved in their very own mother land. UMNO has given money to Tun Mustapha to have his personal jet and bungalow form the State fund. The Sabahan then have to compete with the refugees from Philippines and Indonesia to survive. The refugees were given MyCard and converted to Muslim so that they will be able to support UMNO. In fact, there were a lot of money being used by the UMNO members in Sabah to gamble and to build their own wealth while the people are suffering. What is the relevant of UMNO in Sabah if the Kadazan-Dusun-Murut is not well taken care?

What Hanifah Aman has saying during the Parliament debate should be well digest by the Sabahan themselves. Yes, there is no pint to stay in a big mansion if you are sleeping beside of the toilet bowl. In fact some group of UMNO members have proved their disrespect tot eh Sabahan. Nazri Aziz was saying that the illegal immigrant problem is Sabah is under control. Osu Sukam and Khasitah Ghaddam are the two bandits who were suppose to be punishing earlier. Money were use to build their own wealth while the Kadazan Dusun are toiling very hard to get a plate of rice and Osu is gambling with the state money.

Jeffery Kitiangan is not the Kadazan’s enemy. Though he has played a lot of froggy games with BN Sabah, he does not sell every Sabahan right to UMNO as what the others did. Pairin Kitiangan is a speechless creature and nothing more like a running dog of Musa Aman. Illegal logging is still the worst in Sabah. I was driving along the Keningau-Sipitang road and there were about nine lorries that I found. Some of the logs are very small but have been cut down to feed the corrupted politician. Why does Pairin Kitiangan and Bernard Dompok or Maximus Ongkili are just closing their eyes on the evil work of Musa Aman? Now, I would like to say that Barisan Nasional is the real enemy of the Sabahan and UMNO is just nothing to do with the Sabahan themselves.

The Sabahan should accept that there are marginalized by UMNO and they must get rid of UMNO or get rid of Malaysia. Let enough be enough and now is the time to be independent from UMNO’s evil and torture. There are many things you can bargain with the federal government. If you fail then your decedents will put a total blame on you.

first and foremost, malaysia was form through equal partnership between malaya, singapore, sabah and sarawak. brunei was invited to join the federal country but turn it down. it was tuanku rahman then prime minister of malaya idea to merge malaya and singapore. but f these 2 country merge alone, malays would be a minority and would lose the power to non malays (chinese and indians) so he offered the sarawak, north borneo (sabah) and brunei which has many native/indegeous people and less chinese (indians are very small in these country) and when these formed the new federal country, malaysia they can help malaya to balance the race percentage to 60% bumiputeras (comparising of malays and native people of sabah and sarawak) against 40% non bumiputeras. with sabah and sarawak agreed to form malaysia, bumiputera sabah and sarawak helped malays in malaya to keep their status in politic.

sabah leaders demand 20 points while sarawak (18points) to malaya if malaya wanted them to join the federal and this was agreed.

The agreement

Point 1: Religion

While there was no objection to Islam being the national religion of Malaysia there should be no State religion in North Borneo, and the provisions relating to Islam in the present Constitution of Malaya should not apply to North Borneo

Point 2: Language

* a. Malay should be the national language of the Federation
* b. English should continue to be used for a period of 10 years after Malaysia Day
* c. English should be an official language of North Borneo for all purposes, State or Federal, without limitation of time.

Point 3: Constitution

Whilst accepting that the present Constitution of the Federation of Malaya should form the basis of the Constitution of Malaysia, the Constitution of Malaysia should be a completely new document drafted and agreed in the light of a free association of states and should not be a series of amendments to a Constitution drafted and agreed by different states in totally different circumstances. A new Constitution for North Borneo (Sabah) was of course essential.

Point 4: Head of Federation

The Head of State in North Borneo should not be eligible for election as Head of the Federation

Point 5: Name of Federation

“Malaysia” but not “Melayu Raya”

Point 6: Immigration

Control over immigration into any part of Malaysia from outside should rest with the Central Government but entry into North Borneo should also require the approval of the State Government. The Federal Government should not be able to veto the entry of persons into North Borneo for State Government purposes except on strictly security grounds. North Borneo should have unfettered control over the movements of persons other than those in Federal Government employ from other parts of Malaysia into North Borneo. only need to produce mykad to enter sarawak while sabah doesnt has this authority anymore

Point 7: Right of Secession

There should be no right to secede from the Federation

Point 8: Borneanisation

Borneanisation of the public service should proceed as quickly as possible. MALAYAnisation in reality

Point 9: British Officers

Every effort should be made to encourage British Officers to remain in the public service until their places can be taken by suitably qualified people from North Borneo

Point 10: Citizenship

The recommendation in paragraph 148(k) of the Report of the Cobbold Commission should govern the citizenship rights in the Federation of North Borneo subject to the following amendments:

* a) sub-paragraph (i) should not contain the proviso as to five years residence
* b) in order to tie up with our law, sub-paragraph (ii)(a) should read “7 out of 10 years” instead of “8 out of 10 years”
* c) sub-paragraph (iii) should not contain any restriction tied to the citizenship of parents – a person born in North Borneo after Malaysia must be federal citizen.

Point 11: Tariffs and Finance

North Borneo should retain control of its own finance, development and tariff, and should have the right to work up its own taxation and to raise loans on its own credit.

Point 12: Special position of indigenous races

In principle, the indigenous races of North Borneo should enjoy special rights analogous to those enjoyed by Malays in Malaya, but the present Malays’ formula in this regard is not necessarily applicable in North Borneo

Point 13: State Government

* a) the Prime Minister should be elected by unofficial members of Legislative Council
* b) There should be a proper Ministerial system in North Borneo

Point 14: Transitional period

This should be seven years and during such period legislative power must be left with the State of North Borneo by the Constitution and not be merely delegated to the State Government by the Federal Government

Point 15: Education

The existing educational system of North Borneo should be maintained and for this reason it should be under state control

Point 16: Constitutional safeguards

No amendment modification or withdrawal of any special safeguard granted to North Borneo should be made by the Central Government without the positive concurrence of the Government of the State of North Borneo

The power of amending the Constitution of the State of North Borneo should belong exclusively to the people in the state. (Note: The United Party, The Democratic Party and the Pasok Momogun Party considered that a three-fourth majority would be required in order to effect any amendment to the Federal and State Constitutions whereas the UNKO and USNO considered a two-thirds majority would be sufficient)

Point 17: Representation in Federal Parliament

This should take account not only of the population of North Borneo but also of its seize and potentialities and in any case should not be less than that of Singapore

Point 18: Name of Head of State

Yang di-Pertua Negara

Point 19: Name of State

Sabah

Point 20: Land, Forests, Local Government, etc.

The provisions in the Constitution of the Federation in respect of the powers of the National Land Council should not apply in North Borneo. Likewise, the National Council for Local Government should not apply in North Borneo.

However as times passed, Sabah and Sarawak has ended up being merely one of the 13 states in the federation. this is insulting sabah and sarawak's people
